Tachinid Fly, Sturmia Species : A Major Larval Parasitoid of Teak Defoliator, Hyblaea Puera

Authors(2) :-N. Roychoudhury, Rajesh Kumar Mishra

Sturmia species (Diptera : Tachinidae) are insect parasitoids and many species attack larval lepidopterans. The present article deals with Sturmia species as a major larval parasitoid of Hyblaea puera Cramer (Lepidoptera : Hyblaeidae), a key insect defoliator pest of teak (Tectona grandis L.f.) in nurseries, plantations and natural forests.
